Packer​/Inspector - NIGHT SHIFT

Job Responsibilities

• Remove finished product from machines and inspect product to ensure quality specifications have been met and that all packaging requirements have been completed according to the production work order.
• Read work order for product specifications and any special instructions concerning packaging, special skids, cartons, cradles, banding requirements, and samples.
• Inspect products for customer requirements and any defects.
• Assist in start‑up and change‑over of machinery or orders.
• Perform all required quality checks on all orders on a regular basis.
• Adhere to all packaging requirements per Production Work Order.
• Enter production in JDE and print all necessary paperwork, including closing out the last skid of the order.
• Complete at least one Workplace Observation per month.
• Place customer labels on end of cartons or gaylords in a straight and neat manner.
• Adhere to any and all identification sheets, tally sheets, bar codes as requested by the customer.
• Follow AIB Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) per written procedures and practices.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safety by maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
• Maintain paperwork in order and not inter‑mixed with orders that are completed or about to run.

• Must know how to read and use a tape measure and weigh scale.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must have manual dexterity.
• Able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
