Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Maintenance Technician
Purpose:
Repair and maintain a variety of facilities, production, and building equipment, along with related work involved in maintaining the building.
- Conduct regularly scheduled maintenance on equipment and facilities.
- Maintain control and motor systems.
- Diagnose problems with equipment and repair/replace defective parts.
- Perform basic welding and fabrication as needed.
- Support and comply with safety and environmental guidelines.
- Communicate daily with Production and Shipping Managers.
- Communicate daily with the Plant Manager and Warehouse Manager to develop a daily list of priorities for the maintenance team.
- Drive 5S workplace organization in the maintenance area and support the initiative throughout the manufacturing and warehousing operations.
- Research and purchase parts as needed for machine breakdowns and/or spare parts replacement.
- Improve machine uptime by ensuring all CM’s and PM’s are properly performed and documented in Maintain
X. - Other duties as assigned.
- Basic math skills.
- Good English language skills.
- Welding skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Advanced manufacturing mechanical experience.
- Advanced manufacturing controls and wiring experience.
- Strong mechanical knowledge.
- Strong electrical knowledge.
- Basic understanding of motor controls and ability to read wiring diagrams.
- MS Office literate.
- No fear of heights.
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior process machinery troubleshooting.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, communicate, see, and hear.
- Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 35 lbs.
- Frequently climb towers up to 35 feet high.
- Regularly required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, stretch or bend.
- Strong motor skills.
