Packer Inspector

Responsibilities

• Read work order for product specifications and any special instructions concerning packaging, special skids, cartons, cradles, banding requirements, and samples
• Inspect products for customer requirements and any defects
• Assist in start-up and changeover of machinery or orders
• Perform all required quality checks on all orders on a regular basis
• Adhere to all packaging requirements per Production Work Order
• Enter production in JDE and print all necessary paperwork, including closing out last skid of order
• Complete at least one Workplace Observation per month
• Place customer labels on end of cartons or gaylords, adhering to identification sheets, tally sheets, bar codes as requested by the customer
• Follow AIB Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’S) per written procedures and practices
• Maintain proper housekeeping and safety, keeping work area clean and orderly
• Maintain paperwork in order and not inter-mixed with orders that are completed or about to run

• Must be able to read and use a tape measure and weigh scale
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds
• Must have manual dexterity
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
