Mixing Operator – Third Shift

Onsite in Alsip, Illinois

Third Shift: Sunday – Thursday (10:00 pm – 6:30 am)

Hiring hourly rate: $23.18/hr (+10% shift differential). Possible earnings:

• 6 months – $23.97/hr
• 12 months – $24.77/hr
• 24 months – $25.56/hr

• Safely operate and load mixing equipment.
• Set up and troubleshoot production equipment in accordance with GMP, HACCP, and the Griffith Production System.
• Verify and ensure accurate counts of raw materials needed to produce a blended product.
• Add raw materials to the blender following the manufacturing sequence on the formula.
• Discharge blended product from the blender using the prescribed screen size.
• Follow specified customer sampling requirements of blended product.
• Fill out of daily schedule control to document production, quality, and performance.
• Clean and sanitize the production equipment, tools, and work area.
• Dispose of trash and garbage containers.
• Support BRC audit requirements, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and legal standards.

• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. regularly throughout the shift.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking of English, including the ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and to write simple correspondence.
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Working knowledge of Enterprise Resources Planning systems such as Microsoft Dynamics AX or Red Zone or similar.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed throughout the week, including Saturdays.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods during the shift.
• Comfortable working with and around allergens and cleaning chemicals.
• Must currently be at least 18 years of age and possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

• Often sit, stand, and walk in both office and plant environments.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Safely navigate stairs and ladders.

• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock.
• Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; vibration.
• Noise level in the work environment is usually loud; hearing protection is required in designated areas.
• Dust and odor present in environment.
