Job Description
Join a precision manufacturing team that produces and restores critical metal components for Power, Oil & Gas, OEM, and industrial repair markets. Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC machines with precision.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on machining equipment.
- Conduct manual machining as needed.
- Review and edit G-code for machining processes.
- Design fixtures, set up machines, and optimize processes.
- Collaborate with team members to solve complex machining problems.
- Mentor junior machinists and share technical expertise.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, mechanical troubleshooting, and machine operation.
- Experience with manual and CNC machining, including setup and operation.
- Ability to perform G-code reviews and edits.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and shop math skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
- Experience with rotating equipment, pump components, and industrial repair.
Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with grinding, part finishing, and precision repair techniques.
- Experience in ISO 9001 certified environments.
- Strong computer skills and experience with machining-related software.
- Ability to design fixtures and optimize machining processes.
- Proven experience in mentoring junior machinists.

Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a precision manufacturing and repair facility focused on safety, quality, and craftsmanship. You'll work with CNC and manual machining equipment, precision measuring instruments, and collaborate with mechanics, fabricators, engineers, and production personnel. The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in an industrial shop setting while adhering to safety procedures and PPE requirements.
JobType & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alsip, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
