Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Valve Technician. Hours:
Monday
- Friday 6am
-2:30pm- overtime as needed
-on call schedule possible weekends
** Responsibilities*
* As a Valve Technician, you will be responsible for the following, including, but not limited to:
+ Assemble, wire, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of automated valve packages, with a primary focus on Limitorque electric actuators
+ Perform Limitorque actuator setup, calibration, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair at Ferguson VAC location
+ Perform field service work including installation, startup, commissioning, inspection, repair, and support of Limitorque actuators and related valve automation equipment
+ Work safely with and around live industrial electrical systems, including 240V and 480V, on a daily basis
+ Read and interpret customer specifications, wiring diagrams, schematics, actuator manuals, and technical documents
+ Follow all established standard operating procedures for valve automation, including maintaining a safe and organized workspace and observing necessary safety precautions during assembly, testing, storage, and transfer of product
+ Interact professionally and courteously with inside sales, outside sales, management, warehouse personnel, and customers when addressing technical questions and service needs
+ Assist in supporting technical training related to valve automation and Limitorque/MOV products
+ Travel out of town as needed for field service, customer support, and factory product training
+ Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.
+ Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs
+ May be responsible for providing driver duties and responsibilities
** Qualifications*
* + Must be at least 18 years old.
+ Valid state issued license is required.
+ High school diploma, trade school certification or related technical education preferred.
+ Recent graduates, trade school students, community college graduates, and candidates with strong mechanical or electrical aptitude are encouraged to apply.
+ Experience working with tools, equipment, electrical systems, automotive repair, industrial maintenance, construction, HVAC, welding, machining, or other hands-on technical environments is a plus.
+ Interest in learning industrial automation, valve automation, and electric actuator technologies.
+ Ability to read and understand technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and schematics, or a willingness to learn.
