NSS Exteriors is hiring a Construction Foreman to join our growing team.

We are a Chicagoland specialty contractor specializing in skylights, architectural sheet metal, ACM panels, metal siding, glazing, canopies, flashing, and other exterior building components.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can lead a crew, maintain quality and safety standards, communicate with the office and other trades, and step in to get the work done when needed.

• $28–$36/hour, based on experience and skill level

• Lead and work alongside a crew on commercial and residential exterior construction projects
• Install and oversee the installation of skylights and day lighting systems
• Install architectural sheet metal
• Install ACM panels and exterior cladding
• Install metal siding
• Install glazing and other exterior building components
• Install coping, flashing, trim, and related waterproofing components
• Organize daily work and keep projects moving efficiently
• Read and interpret plans, drawings, layouts, and measurements
• Identify problems in the field and develop practical solutions
• Coordinate with project managers, customers, general contractors, and other trades
• Communicate project updates and field conditions with the office
• Train and mentor installers and less-experienced crew members
• Maintain jobsite safety and quality standards
• Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are properly used and maintained
• Work at heights using ladders and aerial lifts
• Step in and perform hands‑on installation work when needed

• 3+ years of construction or related trade experience
• Experience in one or more of the following:
  • Roofing
  • Architectural sheet metal
  • Skylights
  • Metal siding
  • ACM panels
  • Glazing
  • Carpentry
  • Flashing/waterproofing
  • Exterior construction
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and drawings
• Strong problem‑solving skills
• Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and from aerial lifts
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Able to lead a crew while also working alongside the crew
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Reliable and dependable
• Able to work independently and make decisions in the field
• Willing to work a consistent Monday–Friday schedule

• Previous Foreman, Crew Leader, Lead Installer, or Lead Carpenter experience
• Architectural sheet metal fabrication
• ACM/aluminum composite panels
• Skylight installation or repair
• Commercial roofing
• Glazing or curtain wall
• Metal siding or exterior cladding
• Flashing and waterproofing
• Aerial lifts
• Construction layout and measurements
• Reading construction plans and drawings
