Job Overview

We are hiring full-time and part-time Janitor positions at Alvarado ISD. The location is 5001 Farm to Market 2738, Alvarado, TX 76009. Openings at other locations within the school district are available.

• Schedule: Full-time and part-time schedules; days may vary, 10:00 am to 7:00 pm or 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm. Additional details will be provided during the interview.
• Pay: $12.50 to $13.00 per hour.
• Requirement: Prior janitorial experience is preferred.

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and return furniture to its correct placement.
• Clean assigned areas using the assigned materials and equipment; sanitize all surfaces following the eight‑step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for visitors and staff.
• Identify and address areas requiring cleaning; take initiative to complete tasks.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpet.
• Contribute to the team; exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Certain positions may require Florida Level 2 background screening.
