Position Summary

The Env Services Worker/Housekeeper at Northwest Texas Healthcare System is responsible for cleaning tasks across patient and non‑patient areas, maintaining a clean and aseptic environment throughout the hospital. The employee may be assigned to various specific roles such as patient area cleaner, non‑patient area cleaner, trash technician, or special care unit cleaner, and may assist with project work including wall washing, window washing, and carpet extraction.

• Sweep, mop, dust, and disinfect rooms throughout the hospital.
• Clean light fixtures, upholstery, vent grilles, drapes, and other surfaces as required.
• Assist with special projects such as wall washing, window washing, and carpet extraction.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and observe all safety policies and procedures.
• Report any unsafe working conditions or hazards to management immediately.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Ability to understand and communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Previous experience in a similar role (desired).
• 1–3 years of relevant training.
• No specific licensing required.
• Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks and work under supervision.

  Continuous; grasping during mopping and sweeping.

  Continuous; verbal communication with coworkers, patients, and visitors.

• Cleaning equipment such as mops, brooms, vacuums, and specialized cleaning carts.
• Personal protective equipment as required by hospital policy.
• Access to cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and other supplies in compliance with Medi‑Dyn and system standards.
