Time Type: Full time

This position is assigned to various geographic locations within the plant for the purpose of maintaining clean and sanitary machinery, floor areas, miscellaneous equipment, and belts. The role includes shoveling and sweeping for long periods, lifting and emptying waste, scrubbing walls, ceilings, and equipment, and using cleaning chemicals, ladders, high‑pressure guns, air hoses, and hot water units safely. The position may also perform duties not directly related to sanitation under shift supervision and sanitation lead direction.

• Maintain safe work practices at all times and participate in safety programs.
• Clean equipment using established procedures, provided tools and training.
• Clean floors and maintain good housekeeping in the area.
• Mix and use cleaning chemicals according to established procedures.
• Maintain a safe work area through adherence to safety rules and reporting hazardous conditions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
• Possess thorough knowledge of cleaning agents, their uses, mixtures, hazards, and first aid procedures.
• Understand various chemicals associated with the Hazardous Chemical Program.
• Adhere to all company rules, policies, and procedures concerning work, GMPs, and safety.

• Good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Manual dexterity and ability to safely use cleaning equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in adverse conditions (extreme cold/heat, wet, closed surroundings).
• Pass a 30‑shift sanitation training period.
