The Custodian – Sweeper provides limited custodial services at the assigned site, ensuring an attractive, sanitary and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. Tasks include cleaning operations, preparing facilities for classroom activities and campus events, and supporting other maintenance staff.

• Assist with site snow removal to ensure access and safety for students, staff and visitors.
• Clean assigned facilities and/or grounds (e.g., classrooms, offices, gym, restrooms, multipurpose rooms, grounds) to maintain a sanitary, safe and attractive environment.
• Prepare the site for daily operations (e.g., open gates, raise flags, sweep walkways) to ensure facilities are operational and hazard‑free.
• Replenish classroom and restroom supplies (e.g., paper towels, soap) to maintain adequate daily usage.
• Secure facilities and grounds (e.g., doors, gates, alarms, lights) to minimize property damage, equipment loss, and liability.
• Support other site maintenance staff (e.g., grounds, trades) to complete custodial activities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
