Essential Functions- Assists with site snow removal to ensure access and safety for students, staff and visitors.
- Cleans assigned facilities and/or grounds for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary, safe, and attractive environment.
- Consults with administrative personnel for planning, prioritizing, and scheduling custodial activities and achieving site maintenance objectives.
- Delivers supplies, mail, packages, furniture, etc., to the appropriate parties within the site.
- Distributes custodial supplies and equipment to custodial staff and/or storage locations.
- Informs students and other site personnel regarding activities, safety issues, and proper maintenance of facilities and equipment.
- Inspects facilities and components to ensure safe operations, attract initial cleanliness, and identify necessary repairs.
- Maintains supplies and equipment to ensure availability of custodial items required to keep facilities properly maintained.
- Manages preparation, set‑up, and take-down of events to ensure materials/equipment are available and safety protocols are followed.
- Monitors activities in and around work areas to identify and correct issues that could cause injuries.
- Oversees facility maintenance activities and assigned custodial personnel to ensure functions are performed efficiently and in compliance.
- Performs minor job‑related maintenance on custodial equipment, classroom furniture, and fixtures to ensure proper functioning and usability.
- Prepares written materials such as safety inspections, inventory records, and timesheets to document activities.
- Prepares site for daily operations, e.g., opening gates and sweeping walkways, to keep facilities operational and hazard‑free.
- Replenishes classroom and restroom supplies to ensure adequate quantities for daily use.
- Responds to immediate safety or operational concerns, such as facility damage or alarms, and takes appropriate action or notifies personnel.
- Secures facilities and grounds to minimize property damage, vandalism, and loss.
- Supports other site maintenance staff to complete site custodial activities.
- Trains assigned personnel to develop professional trade and safety awareness skills needed to perform their jobs.
- Transports tools, equipment, and supplies to ensure availability of materials at the job site.
- Participates in meetings, workshops, trainings, and seminars to convey and gather information required for job functions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Age 16 or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Job‑related experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
