Position SummaryThe Warehouse Technician supports the daily operation of Story Construction's warehouse under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager. Story's warehouse is the logistical center for storing, maintaining, and sourcing heavy equipment, power tools, hand tools, and more for use on our construction jobsites. The ideal candidate will have some basic knowledge of the construction industry, basic mechanical aptitude, and a CDL.
This is a full time position, with working hours Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 3:30PM.
- Loading and unloading company tool trailers, ensuring that inventory is placed in the correct area.
- Deliver fuel to Story Construction jobsites using the fuel truck.
- Perform minor routine maintenance on company hand and power tools.
- Perform general warehouse maintenance duties such as changing light bulbs, maintaining organization and cleanliness of the warehouse, as well as snow removal and lawn care.
- Operate a variety of equipment such as skid loader, rough terrain and sit-down forklift, and other as assigned.
- Participate in quarterly tool inspection and tool-tagging.
- Shuttle tools, vehicles, and other equipment to assigned locations.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
- A valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record is required.
- A current Class A CDL.
- Basic mechanical skills, including small engine.
- Experience in the construction industry.
Employees may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, loud noises, and more within OSHA standards. Job duties are often performed in close proximity to other people. Employees often work in outdoor conditions that include inclement weather such as heat, humidity, cold, wind, and dust. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, stand for long periods of time, walk for moderate-to-long distances on varying surface conditions, climb, crawl, crouch, reach, grip, push, and pull without issue.
Must possess adequate communicative, auditory, and visual capabilities to avoid safety hazards.
