Ames Community School District is seeking a 2nd Shift Custodian to maintain building cleanliness and safety. The position is full‑time, year‑round, 3:30 pm – 12:00 am, Monday through Friday.

• Cleans and maintains assigned rooms throughout the building.
• Assists in preparing the facility for evening and weekend activities.
• Secures the building and performs lock‑up duties.
• Utilizes computers to enter work orders, manage email, and submit timesheets and absences.
• Communicates with staff and community members using a two‑way radio and cell phone.
• Maintains building grounds during winter conditions through snow removal and ice mitigation.

• Ability to frequently lift, bend, shovel, and carry items up to 50 lbs.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

$16.80 per hour.
