Position summary:

Entry-level custodial role with a great wage and seasonal bonus opportunities. The Port of Anacortes is a government entity that operates like a business, developing and managing facilities and services that drive job creation and commerce while promoting a healthy work/life balance.

• You have a direct impact on our reputation by keeping restrooms and common areas pristine, as the Port’s seasonal Custodian.
• Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, taking out the trash, and cleaning surfaces.
• Ensure common areas are free of debris and maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
• Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely as a top priority.
• Interact with customers and fellow employees with a friendly demeanor to support the team and operations.

• 18 years old or older
• Strong customer service skills
• Good computer skills
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Ability to meet the physical demands of this position
• Ability to read and speak English

This full-time seasonal position typically works Thursday – Monday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, including weekends and holidays.

Seasonal employees who work 440+ hours in the peak season (April-October) will be eligible for a $1,000 end-of-season bonus paid on their last paycheck, a $2,500 tuition stipend paid directly to an accredited college, university, academy, or trade school, or a $3,000 tuition stipend for a maritime-related program paid directly to an accredited college, university, academy, or trade school.
