Responsibilities- Refreshes meeting rooms during morning or afternoon breaks, removing trash, vacuuming, straightening chairs.
- Checks and refreshes restrooms, sweeping, mopping, wiping counters and cleaning glass.
- Cleans back of house restrooms and spaces.
- Empties trash receptacles, sweeps, and mops up spills on floors and carpets in public areas.
- Vacuum and clean carpets to remove spots as spills occur or when needed.
- Sweeps, cleans, and empties trash receptacles on all exterior sidewalks daily around the building.
- Responsible for overall cleanliness of the building.
- Maintains a neat and clean appearance and wears the proper uniform.
- All other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
- 1-2 year janitorial/custodial experience desired.
- High school diploma desirable.
- Some knowledge of tools, supplies, and methods used in cleaning.
- Ability to perform work while kneeling and standing.
- Ability to work in cooperation with others.
- Ability to understand and communicate orally and in writing.
- Ability to perform tasks without close supervision.
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm.

Working ConditionsLocation:
On Site at the Anchorage Convention Centers.
Physical demands described: must move around the facility, stand for long hours during events, talk and hear. Requires work inside or outside of the building. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Work hours may range from very early morning to late night. On rare occasions, may need to work additional hours, weekends, overnight or extended stays, with prior notice.
Work is primarily indoors. Involves a considerable amount of walking throughout a 100,000 square foot facility.
