Job Description
Position is based in Anchorage and provides deep‑cleaning and painting services to facilities throughout Alaska. The role is full‑time and requires the employee to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities- Cleans offices, public spaces, industrial areas, warehouses, exterior areas, and other required locations.
- Assists journeyman painters on small interior painting projects.
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, strips, extracts, waxes, buffs, vacuums, and treats all types of floors.
- Cleans carpets.
- Dusts low and high areas using ladders and lifts.
- Wipes down or cleans various surfaces including walls and ceilings.
- Clears windows.
- Uses appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions for all tasks.
- Removes and properly disposes of discarded materials.
- Transports trash to designated disposal areas.
- May change light bulbs and perform light facility maintenance.
- May operate a vehicle.
- Requires routine weekly overnight stays within the State of Alaska with travel by aircraft.
- Other related duties may be assigned.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience or education demonstrating a working knowledge of cleaning equipment and general cleaning processes; experience in facility maintenance and painting is preferred.
- Valid Alaskan driver’s license with a 3‑year record acceptable to the company’s insurance carrier.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Successful screening through multiple background and security checks.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Safety‑conscious.
- Good people skills; personable and professional.
- Reliable, versatile, well‑organized, disciplined, self‑starter.
- Math skills sufficient to calculate figures and amounts.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Write routine reports and correspondence.
- Speak effectively before others.
- Read and utilize electrical drawings, logic diagrams, and schematics.
Physical Requirements
Work occurs both indoors and outdoors, frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate to loud. Environment varies by facility.
Physical requirements:
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs; ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers, climb ladders and stairs, work at elevated heights, and perform other tasks described above.
