- Represent the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts (ACPA) as a frontline team member, modeling safe work practices while providing stellar customer service to internal and external clients.
- Perform inspections and make minor to moderately complex repairs to building systems, structures, and equipment such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and door hardware to assure safe and efficient function.
- Monitor the performance of contractors and suppliers, store and issue materials, and operate power and hand tools in performing maintenance duties.
- Repair custodial equipment, perform welding as needed, and assist with custodial and safety program oversight related to HVAC, controls, fire, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Maintain consistent and regular communication with the Facility Manager and other team members.
- Five years of experience with building maintenance and construction.
- Two years of experience performing inspections of equipment and systems, exercising initiative without reliance on specific instructions.
- Ability to produce written reports of inspections and modifications.
- High School graduate or GED required.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English, with solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Clean driving record for five years and successful background check required.
- Stand, sit, and walk frequently.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as necessary.
- Lift or move 50 lbs.; move 100 lbs.; occasionally move 150 lbs.
