What the Facility Maintenance Technician DoesThe Facility Maintenance Technician helps maintain APAA’s grounds, buildings, vehicles, and equipment to ensure safe, clean, and functional work spaces. This role performs routine and preventative maintenance, supports seasonal yard and facility upkeep, assists with fleet readiness, and provides transport support to help move consignor inventory to APAA’s warehouse.
Key Responsibilities Include:- Complete maintenance and janitorial/custodial tasks as assigned.
- Perform weekly cleaning, sanitization, and restocking of restrooms.
- Monitor the cleanliness and safety of interior and exterior areas, including offices, conference rooms, break rooms, restrooms, parking lots, and yard spaces.
- Assist the Facility Manager with routine facility maintenance and complete follow‑up on the daily vehicle checklist.
- Assist with carpentry projects such as shelving, racking, crates, tables, and storage structures.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on company‑owned vehicles; transport vehicles to and from service appointments.
- Follow all workplace safety and security measures.
- Complete maintenance tasks and work orders on time to support daily facility operations.
- Prepare facilities for seasonal conditions, including snow and ice removal, lawn mowing, trimming, and weather‑related upkeep.
- Prepare company vehicles for daily operations, including transports, errands, and mail runs.
- Support additional operational needs such as assisting the FFL department with off‑site firearm pickups, transporting consignor inventory, and moving items around the storage yard for upcoming auctions.
- Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
