Student Assistant - CTC Welding & Nondestructive Testing Department

Must Have

• Knowledge of tools and welding equipment.
• Works under general or intermittent supervision.
• A minimum of 1 year experience with tools and equipment used in the welding industry is required.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Students who are working towards the completion of their Welding OEC.
• Students enrolled in an AAS in Technology with an emphasis in Welding, with one year or less completion.
• Students enrolled in the BA in Applied Technologies and Leadership, with one year or less completion.
• AWS certifications preferred. Successful completion of WELD A101 preferred.

This is a part‑time position up to 20 hours per week while school is in session. Additional hours may be available during the summer and winter breaks. Starting hourly rate is $16.00/hr.

A qualified applicant may be subject to higher hourly pay if they can demonstrate the following additional requirements:

• Students who have completed their Welding OEC, and are enrolled in the Advanced Welding OEC.
• Students enrolled in an AAS in Technology with an emphasis in Welding, with more than one year completion.
• Students enrolled in the BA in Applied Technologies and Leadership, with more than one year completion.
• Dual program enrolled students with more than one year completion.
