Schedule: Monday-Friday 7A-4P (On-call rotation to include after hours or weekends as needed for emergencies)
Every job at the University plays an important role—and this includes our maintenance/facilities department. As part of our operations team, you will help prepare school facilities by supporting the safe and efficient repairs of all dorm rooms, along with academic buildings. Looking for maintenance technicians that have experience (any/all) in HVAC, plumbing, and/or general repairs to include minimal drywall work or window repairs.
We are recruiting full‑time facilities technicians.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow a work order system to complete tasks as needed by students or faculty.
- Minor repairs to HVAC—including diagnosing and other minor repairs.
- Manipulate or move furniture to perform work as needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members and take direction from supervisors.
- Participate in on-call rotation with other facilities employees.
- Assist with snow removal—able to operate snow plows or other snow equipment.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to read, follow instructions, and work as part of a team.
- Punctual, dependable, and professional in demeanor.
- Must be able to work with a diverse group of people.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Previous facilities or maintenance experience required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift, push, and carry items up to 75 lbs.
- Frequent bending, stooping, standing, and walking for extended periods (up to 8 hours/day).
- Ability to operate tools as needed.
- Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor environments.
