Job Overview
Perform custodial cleaning duties in the Andover, MA location on a 1st shift (6:00am – 2:30pm). Starting wage is $19.85 per hour.
Responsibilities- Sweeping, dry‑ and wet‑mopping, stripping floors to remove dirt, old wax, grease, and oil.
- Waxes, treats, buffs, and polishes floors.
- Clean and polish desks, office furniture, walls, glass partitions, windows, blinds, lights, and light reflectors reachable from the ground.
- Maintain sanitary condition of washrooms and restrooms.
- Appropriately dispose of general waste and recycling; move recycling/compost containers to the collecting area.
- Sweep and clean outside areas adjacent to doors such as sidewalk areas and steps.
- Maintain a clean work area, perform general maintenance and daily housekeeping of workplace, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain records, move materials, and follow safety rules in performance of duties.
- Perform other similar duties as required or directed.
Central and portable vacuum systems, clean‑room grade applicators, mops, brooms, buckets, various brushes, roll mops, polishes, soaps, cleaning powders and solutions, waxes, solvents, isopropyl alcohol, rubber and work gloves, lint‑free wipers, filter masks, wall washing machines, sweepers, vacuum cleaners, distilled water, buffing machines and attachments, power sweepers and related tools.
Required Qualifications- Minimum of 1 year related experience.
- U.S. citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance:
Confidential. - Existing security clearance required after day
1.
The position is part of a collective bargaining agreement; employees will be represented by a union.
