Facilities Generalist

The Pike School in Andover, MA seeks a Facilities Generalist to help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming campus for students in Pre-K-9. This role supports daily operations through routine maintenance, minor repairs, room setups, and event support. The Facilities Generalist conducts regular inspections, responds to work orders, assists with custodial and grounds tasks, and partners with vendors as needed. Working within Pike's warm, inclusive, student-centered culture, this position helps ensure that classrooms and common spaces reflect the school's high standards of care, safety, and community.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily facilities inspections to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming campus environment for students and staff
• Complete routine maintenance, repairs, and basic troubleshooting for classrooms, common areas, and building systems
• Set up and break down spaces for classes, meetings, and school events, including furniture, equipment, and signage
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and service visits as directed by the facilities manager
• Monitor building security, access, and emergency systems and report safety hazards or incidents promptly
• Support custodial tasks such as cleaning, trash removal, and restocking supplies as needed
• Assist with groundskeeping, including snow removal, minor landscaping, and outdoor play areas
• Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, and maintenance activities
