Artificial Turf Technician

Overview

Join Field Turf as a Field Service Synthetic Turf Technician and help shape the future of sports and recreation surfaces across the Northwest. In this role you will travel to customer locations throughout Virginia, Maryland and DC, performing expert maintenance, repairs, and customer support on synthetic turf systems.

• Perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on Field Turf synthetic turf systems.
• Diagnose issues and deliver timely, effective solutions that exceed customer expectations.
• Complete accurate service documentation and reports promptly.
• Build strong relationships with customers through professional communication and outstanding service.
• Educate field owners and operators on proper maintenance techniques and equipment usage.
• Collaborate with Field Care Coordinators, Customer Service teams, and regional sales representatives to provide seamless support.
• Identify maintenance and equipment opportunities for customers to support service growth.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicles to Field Turf standards.
• Use technology platforms including Outlook, Concur, and Field Service Lightning for scheduling, reporting, and communication.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on troubleshooting experience.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently in the field.
• A proactive, customer‑focused mindset with strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and service documentation.
• Experience with field service software or mobile service platforms is a plus.
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout the region, including overnight stays (summer months are busiest).
• Strong computer skills for email, reports, and collaboration.

This role involves active outdoor work in varying weather conditions and requires the ability to perform physical labor, including lifting equipment, field repairs, and extended time on job sites.
