JNS Facility Maintenance is currently seeking a full-time Janitorial Day Porter. For over 29 years, JNS has been operating in Ann Arbor and the surrounding areas as a local family‑owned and operated janitorial service company. With extensive experience in the commercial cleaning industry, JNS is a service provider which leads by example in professionalism, quality service, and commitment to the highest standards of excellence.

Our ideal Janitorial Day Porter will have some experience in the customer service or janitorial industry and is comfortable interacting with clients. They will have a great attendance record and will have a demonstrated record of good communication skills with customers and supervisors. A good eye for detail and the ability to work independently is a must.

This position is primarily during daytime hours but candidates should expect to be flexible. You may be assigned to a single site or multiple sites that may be in a localized area. This position is hourly and reports to the Field Manager.

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks as defined by the scope of work. Cleaning tasks may include, but are not limited to:
• Sweeping
• Mopping
• Cleaning/restocking restrooms
• Dusting
• Vacuuming
• Trash and recycling removal
• Light maintenance (changing light bulbs, etc.)
• Promote and follow company and safety regulations and procedures
• Respond appropriately to requests made by clients
• Maintain communication with supervisors
• Accurately record and submit time worked
• Interact with clients and their customers (if applicable) with a high degree of professionalism

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reliable transportation (may require travel between job sites)
• Ability to work independently and without constant supervision
• Good attendance record and ability to work a flexible schedule if needed
• Strong customer service skills
