Auto Glass Repair Specialist

Overview

As a certified Safelite Repair Specialist I, you will use industry‑leading technology to complete vehicle glass repairs, champion the Safelite Spirit, and deliver a high‑quality customer experience.

• Learn to repair vehicle glass in the classroom and hands‑on, focusing on the Safelite Way of Fitting under the guidance of experienced technicians.
• Repair chips, cracks, and other auto glass related issues on customer vehicles.
• Manage work orders, customer documentation, and customer communication through the Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
• Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
• Clean customer vehicle during wait/idle time and perform additional housekeeping tasks in the company vehicle and shop.
• Safely operate company and customer vehicles, company‑issued tools, and chemicals utilized throughout the workday.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
• Drive company vehicles; this will be monitored via cameras, GPS, and other tracking technologies to ensure safety and compliance.

• High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent (Preferred).
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license and any other licenses required by federal, state, and local laws to operate a company vehicle.
• On‑the‑job training and completion of Safelite Safe Tech™ certification (Required).
• Must be 18 years of age or older (Required).

• Lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. for short periods; assisting with windshields weighing 26 lbs. to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend, and twist body.
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws; agreement to be monitored via camera/video surveillance.
• Professionalism and passion for providing outstanding customer service and exceeding expectations.
• Ability to work safely outside in a variety of weather conditions and extreme temperatures for extended periods.
• Ability to work with chemicals, including flammable chemicals, as applicable per the “Safelite Way of Fitting.”
• Availability to work scheduled days with flexibility on start and end times to accommodate customer needs.
• Problem‑solving and ability to troubleshoot issues independently and collaboratively.
• Read, write, and interpret the English language and technical directions.
• Communicate orally (via phone) and in writing (via computer or other electronic means).
• Maintain a professional appearance, adhering to company uniform and PPE policies.
• Willingness and ability to maintain stable performance under professional or personal pressure.

• Competitive weekly base pay starting at $16.50/hour.
