Full-Time Custodian

The Custodian is responsible for assisting the Custodial Manager, under the supervision of the Director of Facility Operations, in ensuring Father Gabriel Richard High School and its grounds are operationally efficient, clean, beautiful, and meet the functional needs of staff, faculty, students, and visitors.

The position is hourly, scheduled Monday through Friday from 3:00 to 11:30 pm with a 30‑minute unpaid break. Occasional evening and weekend work is required.

• Provide daily facility support and custodial needs, ensuring a clean, safe, efficient, and functional environment for the 120,000‑square‑foot building and 20‑acre grounds.
• Manage the prioritization and timely completion of requests made through FGR’s facility ticket system.
• Conduct daily and seasonal duties, including thorough cleaning of the building, setup and cleanup of school activities and events (including athletic events), light care and maintenance of athletic fields and grounds, and salting sidewalks and pathways when needed.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Facility Operations, President, and Principal.

• High school diploma; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a custodial role.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
• Skilled in bathroom and floor cleaning, dusting, and window cleaning.
• Experience in a church or educational setting preferred.
• Valid State Vehicle Operator’s License.
• Periodic on‑call work and occasional weekends required.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
