Overview
The Pest Control Technician is responsible for performing industry-leading pest management services for commercial and food‑industry customers. The role involves conducting thorough inspections, identifying pest infestations, applying approved treatment products, and educating clients on prevention techniques while adhering to all safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Apply approved pest control products—including chemicals, baits, and traps—to effectively eliminate pests.
- Conduct inspections, determine the type of infestation, and evaluate and apply appropriate treatments.
- Educate customers on pest prevention methods, provide advice to reduce future risks, and build lasting customer relationships.
- Schedule and confirm appointments; expand services to new and existing customers.
- Maintain, repair, and stock pest control equipment to ensure it remains in good working condition.
- Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.
- Operate a company‑provided service vehicle safely and participate in routine maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with internal team members and clients.
- Perform quality inspections and treatments in commercial food, pharmaceutical, and related environments.
- Manage inventory of equipment and supplies.
- Support customers’ food‑safety management systems to protect the food supply and the environment.
- Provide excellent client care, service, problem‑solving, and listening skills.
- Be flexible and willing to work variable hours, including weekends.
- High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination.
- Availability to work Monday‑Friday and weekends as needed.
- Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control.
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills required for following product‑label mixing instructions.
- Customer‑facing experience preferred.
- Client‑focused, self‑motivated, effective time‑management skills, and professional demeanor.
