summary

this position will require the following:

  • field service (up to 75% travel) at customer sites across the u.s. With occasional international travel
  • testing, troubleshooting, repair, upgrade, and/or replacement of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and/or mechanical components of mw watermark brand (or similar) equipment at customer sites
  • installation-verification, startup, and/or commissioning of mw watermark equipment at customer sites
  • train mw watermark customers on the proper setup, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and/or repair of mw watermark brand (or similar) equipment at customer sites
  • support the service department with customer calls when in the office
  • assist with equipment assembly when in the office
  • assist the material‑handling and/or stockroom teams if needed while in the office
  • assist with shop run‑off of equipment prior to shipment
  • perform shop qc evaluations prior to final qc checks
  • follow‑up with customers after recent equipment shipments or recent field service visits
  • occasionally load plc programs (written by others) and make simple program changes once trained by mww
  • ability to obtain certifications including (but not limited to) msha, twic, h2s clear, and others required at certain customer sites
primary responsibilities
  • travel to job sites, primarily in north america, to perform equipment service, including but not limited to:
    • installation support for new equipment installations
    • commissioning of new equipment
    • startup and testing of new equipment
    • service and repair of existing equipment
    • evaluation and troubleshooting of equipment in the field
  • complete field service reports to be sent to customer and/or used internally following all service trips
  • assist quality and product‑development departments with updates to procedures or equipment design to reduce issues seen in the field
  • assist with continuous improvement of io&m manuals based on field experience
  • assist customer service department with calls from customers and sales representatives
  • assist manufacturing department with assembly and equipment run‑offs as service schedule allows
  • promote and contribute to a continuous improvement culture
  • other duties as assigned.
knowledge and skill requirements
  • working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • ability to read and understand production and assembly drawings and schematics
  • ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues on siteability to lift up to 50 pounds required
  • experience with plc code and electrical schematics is a plus
  • moderate to advanced reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
  • ability to use computer software including microsoft office and erp systems
  • must be organized and able to perform in a fast paced environment
working conditions

working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe work boots, and hardhats. Attire appropriate for customer sites may vary.

remote work

this position cannot be done remotely. It requires travel to customer sites. It also requires physical presence at mw watermark to assist with manufacturing when the service schedule allows.
