Position Overview
The Environmental Aide is a housekeeping role at Trinity Health Ann Arbor. Responsibilities include maintaining the environment for the Health System by performing environmental duties in accordance with regulatory standards, infection control, and hospital policies.
Employment DetailsEmployment Type:
Full time. Shift: Rotating – Days (7:00a‑3:30p), Afternoons (3:00p‑11:30p), Midnights (11:00p‑7:30a). Benefits:

- Clean all surfaces
- Disinfect all surfaces
- Dust all surfaces
- Replenish all supplies
- Spot clean carpet and upholstery
- Clean up spills
- Change linen and make beds
- Operate vacuum cleaning equipment
- Dust mop and damp mop floors, stairs, and landings
- Dispose of hazardous and non‑hazardous waste
- Report needed equipment repair and unsafe situations
Walk and stand approximately 90% of the work time. Frequently squat, kneel, and lift; occasionally bend and twist. Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance. Ability to utilize safe body mechanics.
QualificationsIdentifies safety risks, provides feedback and helps address safety issues. Actively follows safety policies, procedures and practices. Assists in establishing and maintaining an environment that is clean and conducive to patients, visitors, and co‑workers' well‑being and safety.
Education and ExperienceEducation:
High School diploma or GED preferred. Able to read and write English. Possesses basic math skills.
Experience:
Three months of customer service or cleaning experience preferred.
