Field/Service Technician, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Key Responsibilities
- Be responsible for hands‑on execution of projects including startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design, and repair of power delivery equipment (transformers, switch gear, OCBs, circuit breakers, busways, UPS, ATS, PLCs, relays, power management controls systems and other power‑related equipment & controls).
- Lead outages with field engineers, technicians and contractors, including project management and acting as lead site engineer or site project manager; perform administrative functions such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, and preparing job status reports, customer reports, timesheets and expense sheets in a timely and thorough manner.
- Plan, prepare and/or instruct internal and external training programs to impart and perpetuate field engineering and product knowledge in area of specialization.
- Perform administrative functions in a timely manner: write technical reports, order materials, secure quotations and prepare job status reports.
- High school diploma and eight years of related engineering / field experience; additional formal education may substitute for required experience on a year‑for‑year basis.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to an estimated 75 percent of the time.
- Experience in the repair and refurbishment of LV and MV circuit breakers is preferred.
- Technical skills in testing, commissioning, startup and troubleshooting of medium‑voltage synchronous machines are preferred.
- Candidates must already have work authorization that permits employment in the United States.
The work model for this role is:
Remote.
While base salary is determined by the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $83,300 and $133,280 annually.
