Pay Grade: Starting at Grade 1, Step 1, $15.42 per hour

Reports To: Custodial Supervisor

Schedule: 8 hours per day / Hours and Schedule Vary / 52 Weeks

• Must be willing to work at various buildings as assigned by Operations
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to perform to the District's Standard of Physical Activity with or without reasonable accommodations

• Deep cleaning horizontal surfaces including but not limited to counters, desks, bathroom fixtures
• Deep cleaning of carpets, tile, LVT floors
• Perform high dusting in all areas of schools
• Assist with moving classroom furniture
• Assist with trash removal
• All duties performed within health safety standards as per OSHA and/or MIOSHA
• Consistent and reliable attendance
• Other duties as assigned by the Custodial Supervisor

The role requires frequent standing, walking, use of hands and fingers to handle objects, and frequent reaching with hands and arms. The employee must frequently squat, stoop or kneel, reach above the head, and use hand strength to grasp tools and climb onto ladders. The employee will bear repetitive bending or twisting at the neck and trunk more than the average person during work hours.

Lifting and moving tasks include up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds occasionally. The physical demands are described in the following categories: CONSTANT (67‑100% of time per day), FREQUENT (24‑66% of time per day), OCCASIONAL (10‑30% of time per day), and RARE (1‑10% of time per day). The employee must be able to perform lifts such as floor to waist (up to 100 #) and waist to shoulder (up to 40 #) with a range of force levels, handle horizontal and overhead lifts, perform front carries, push and pull tasks, exercise power grips, and perform various reach, squat, bend, and head/neck activities as required.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud to moderate. Work will be performed indoors with required outdoor activities as well.

The employee is required to compare, analyze, communicate both orally and in writing, copy, coordinate, instruct, compute, synthesize, evaluate, use interpersonal skills, compile and negotiate.

In accordance with the Custodial and Food Service Agreement.

The employee will remain free of any alcohol or drugs throughout employment with the district as outlined in Board Policy #4210.
