Travel Pipe Welder - Newport News, VA
Job DescriptionSeeking a skilled Pipe Welder with a minimum of five years commercial/naval experience. The ideal candidate will be capable of performing multi‑pass, all‑position fillet and butt welds using SMAW and GTAW processes, including the ability to fuse inserts and weld various materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper‑nickel pipes. Candidates should be prepared for physically demanding tasks in various environments including shipboard, sub‑assemblies, ladders, and staging, and must be familiar with OSHA regulations relevant to the shipbuilding industry.

This is a contract position with a duration of 2 years.
Work SiteThis is a fully on‑site position in Newport News, Virginia.
Work Environment- This position involves working in a physically demanding environment, including confined spaces on board naval ships and in a shop setting. Candidates must be capable of climbing ladders and stairs.
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.
