Performs general maintenance repairs and services to maintain the building and grounds of the Public Safety Education and Training Center and ensure ongoing operations for all critical services. General maintenance and repairs include HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry/construction, landscaping, janitorial and other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications- Education:
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. - Experience:
Five years of experience in building maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry/construction, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Supervisory experience including the responsibility for assigning, reviewing and approving the work of other building maintenance workers.
- Prior experience performing general maintenance repairs for a State or public facility/building.
- Health, dental, and vision plans offered at a low cost.
- Personal Leave – 6 personnel days annually (prorated based on start date).
- Annual Leave – 10 days of accumulated annual leave per year.
- Sick Leave – 15 days of accumulated sick leave per year.
- Parental Leave – up to 60 days of paid parental leave upon the birth or adoption of a child.
- Holidays – at least 12 state holidays per year.
- Pension – credit toward a retirement pension.
