Pool Technician

Description

Pool Operator shall service and maintain pools and spas.

• Operator shall service and maintain filtering and purification equipment used for maintaining the pools.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain swimming pools, water systems, filter systems, pumps, and other pool equipment.
• Maintain proper chemical balance.
• Maintain the pool area, including cleaning the deck and other maintenance tasks.
• Respond to swimming pool related work orders in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery or equipment.
• Repair and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Transport and store hazardous chemicals.
• Regularly test swimming pool water quality, chlorine and pH balance.
• Maintain manual or automated records of all activities and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledgeable and skilled in grounds maintenance.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Must have a Department of Health Pool Certification or have completed a Maryland State Accredited Certified Pool Operator Course.

• Frequent heavy or intense physical requirements.
• Frequent exposure to a number of disagreeable environmental elements, such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc.
• Injury may require professional treatment or hospitalization — constant precautions required, i.e., face mask, safety glasses, and/or ear protection needed at all times.
• Be able to stand extended periods of time, push, pull, bend, kneel, and stretch as required.
• Be able to lift 50 lbs.

The base salary range for this position is $32.21 per hour. This position may also be eligible for a wide range of competitive benefits, which may include medical, well-being, financial planning, and short-term incentive benefits.
