job summary
as a cbre gds commercial cleaner, you will perform basic cleaning duties for high‑traffic areas. Responsibilities include mopping, sweeping, trash disposal, and ensuring assigned areas remain clean and organized.
primary job functions- provide daily cleaning support to high‑traffic areas of the building as designated by the supervisor.
- stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, kleenex, and soap.
- sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, etc.
- dust furniture, walls, and equipment, including moving and rearranging furniture.
- clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
- ensure cleaning supplies are stored safely and securely.
- complete standardized cleaning processes according to company standards.
- follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
- attend all regular staff meetings and required in‑service training sessions.
- follow basic work routines and standards.
- use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while exercising limited discretion.
- education
- required: high school diploma or equivalent.
- equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- experience
- required: minimum of 2 years of job‑related experience.
- preferred: experience in facilities, maintenance, custodial, or a related field.
- license/certification
- preferred: no specific certifications required.
- relevant certifications in maintenance, safety, or facilities operations are a plus.
- occasional exposure to environmental conditions such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals.
- physical stamina to perform tasks involving stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- adherence to established work routines and procedures.
- basic verbal and written communication skills.
- strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- efficient completion of tasks within designated time frames.
- dependability and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
hourly pay is estimated at $15.70, with possible variation. Benefits may include medical, well‑being, financial planning, and short‑term incentive programs.
