job summary

as a cbre, government & defense services commercial cleaning lead, you are responsible for overseeing the work activities of cleaners within the site. You will supervise the staff responsible for ensuring a clean, orderly, and safe environment for employees and clients.

• coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross‑train staff.
• schedule daily staff meetings and required in‑service training sessions.
• check cleaning equipment condition, order supplies as needed, and ensure supplies are stored safely.
• coordinate and liaise with clients and employees; handle complaints and feedback.
• inform the team of requests and confirm completion. Inspect work done by cleaners and submit daily cleanliness reports.
• initiate regular training on procedures for the use of chemical cleaners.
• ensure standardized cleaning processes meet company standards.
• provide daily cleaning support to private areas of the building as designated.
• resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to achieve team objectives.
• may establish new techniques to ensure the team is able to meet its objectives.
• have a direct impact on team objectives as well as the objectives of related teams.
• ensure personal and team outcomes positively impact customer objectives.
• lead by example and model behaviors consistent with cbre‑gds values.

• required: high school diploma or equivalent.
• equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

• required: minimum of 5 years of job‑related experience.
• prior shift manager or supervisory experience.

• occasional exposure to environmental conditions such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals.

• fulfill the physical requirements associated with this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. Or more.
• in‑depth understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own function and basic knowledge of related job functions.
• ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.
• knowledge of microsoft office products.
• excellent organizational skills with a detail‑oriented mindset.
