Facility Maintenance Technician
The Facility Maintenance Technician assists in the maintenance, preservation and enhancement of a private estate. The successful applicant will work both independently and in collaboration with household and garden staff to maintain safe, clean, and beautiful facilities for the enjoyment of the household.

Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that the physical infrastructure of the facility remains safe, operational, and well maintained. The role also includes maintaining facility vehicles, tools, and equipment. This position involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and responding to urgent repair requests to minimize downtime and support a productive environment. The ideal candidate enjoys problem solving and an active and varied work routine.
FacilitiesMaintenance
Maintain facilities infrastructure. Service and repair water treatment systems, irrigation systems, landscape lighting, pond and pool systems.
Equipment MaintenanceClean, maintain, and repair tools and equipment. Service power equipment and utility vehicles, change oil, sharpen mower blades, replace filters and complete other routine maintenance. Wash and detail carts and vehicles.
Grounds and Turf CareMaintain grounds area, including light mowing, fertilization, debris pickup, beach cleaning and other tasks.
Gardening SupportAssist horticulturists and gardeners with gardening tasks such as mulching, planting, weeding, watering, and pruning as needed.
The Facilities Maintenance Technician will work under the direction of the estate manager and lead horticulturist on a full-time basis, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is an essential position where some weekends or extended hours may be required.
Experience and QualificationsExperience servicing machines such as mowers, golf carts, chainsaws, and blowers.
Basic electrical, HVAC, and plumbing knowledge.
Basic carpentry and maintenance skills, including painting and preventive maintenance experience.
Prior pool maintenance experience is a plus.
General knowledge of garden care; planting, weeding, watering, and mulching.
Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all conditions, including wet, dry, hot, and cold conditions.
Ability to safely lift, carry, push and/or pull 50 lbs.
Must have good people skills, a committed work ethic, and willingness to work in a collaborative and congenial manner as a team player.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office is a plus.
Must have a clean driver’s license and have own reliable transportation.
Employment conditioned on submitting proof of eligibility to be employed in the United States and consenting to a background check.
