Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to support operations at our Anniston, AL facility. You’ll diagnose and repair industrial electrical and mechanical systems, perform preventive maintenance, upgrade controls, and program PLCs and ladder logic to keep our operations running safely and efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Follow all processes and procedures associated with the Tyler Union Safety Management Program and advise management of any deviations.
- Proactively promote The McWane Way principles.
- Troubleshoot and repair electro‑hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanically driven industrial machinery.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, design, and install industrial control systems with 24‑volt control and 480‑volt power systems.
- Install and set up AC variable frequency drives, instrumentation devices, and temperature controls; recalibrate instruments, sensors, chart records, I/P transmitters, and controllers.
- Design, layout, and wire electrical panels.
- Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine repair or installation procedures.
- Determine methods to repair or adjust equipment, machines, controls, or defective components in a foundry environment.
- Maintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests.
- Inspect components of industrial equipment for accurate assembly and installation or for defects.
- Direct work on scheduled preventive maintenance tasks or emergent work, such as breakdowns.
- Examine work orders and converse with equipment operators to detect equipment problems and determine whether mechanical or human errors contributed.
- Multitask and concentrate with multiple interruptions.
- Exhibit courtesy and perform duties with tact and reasonable speed.
- Coordinate efforts of hourly workers involved in installing or maintaining equipment or components; fill in as supervisor when needed.
- Consult with operations and maintenance management to resolve problems in system operation or maintenance.
- Associates degree in a technical field or vocational training preferred.
- Five years of related on‑the‑job experience required.
- Intermediate experience sufficient to troubleshoot, install, and set up PLC, HMI, and Servo systems abroad.
- Experience programming Allen Bradley 500 AB Processors with RS logic software, and 5000 AB control logics software. Allen Bradley Panelview experience is a plus.
