We're seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead all maintenance operations within a high-volume food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for maximizing equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, leading the maintenance team, and ensuring safe, efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the maintenance department, including hiring, training, coaching, performance management, scheduling, and employee development.
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs, maintenance policies, purchasing practices, inventory controls, and departmental budgets.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of production equipment to ensure maximum uptime.
- Coordinate and manage outside contractors, service technicians, and OEMs when additional expertise is needed.
- Partner with Operations and other departments to support production goals and improve equipment performance.
- Provide technical guidance to production teams, helping develop operator training, SOPs, equipment care practices, and safety procedures.
- Support daily production start-up, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure timely repairs.
- Manage maintenance parts inventory and ensure critical spare parts are available.
- Respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies as needed.
- Promote a safe, clean, and compliant maintenance operations.
- 7–10 years of maintenance management experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably within food, meat, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or another highly regulated industry.
- Strong leadership experience managing maintenance teams and department budgets.
- Excellent troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment reliability experience.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work across operations, engineering, and leadership teams.
- Associate degree in a mechanical or technical field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
