Job Summary
This position is responsible for overseeing and providing operational support to airport Customer Service/Ground Operations (Cross-Utilized) Agents in accordance with company policy and federal and state regulations. Responsibilities include ground operations, aircraft cleaning, security, operations and commissary duties as required. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Qualifications- Authorized to work in the US under the Immigration Act of 1986.
- Passes a criminal background check.
- Minimum one (1) year of customer service experience; airline industry experience is a plus.
- High school diploma or GED; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- Valid passport book.
- Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English to receive instructions, directives and ensure safety.
- Experience with Allegiant Customer Service and Ground Operations procedures.
- Basic computer skills and general office equipment knowledge.
- People‑oriented, highly motivated with a positive and friendly attitude.
- Professional communication with internal and external customers.
- Ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
- Coordinating and directing duties of Customer Service/Ground Operations agents.
- Interface with supervisors, leads and all departments to address and correct service issues.
- Ensuring compliance with all company safety rules, including dangerous goods handling.
- Reporting safety hazards and incidents to supervisor.
- Performing functions of a Customer Service/Ground Operations Agent; must work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays and irregular operations.
- Disciplining employees under supervisory direction who violate company rules.
- Covering supervisory staff vacations and absences if needed.
- Scheduling operations based on need and seniority.
- Assigning employees to specific job functions.
- Processing tickets, checking baggage, monitoring carry‑on baggage size and quantity, and assigning seats.
- Providing information on arrival and departure times, boarding procedures, carry‑on regulations, and seating arrangements.
- Handling denied boarding situations, soliciting volunteers, re‑accommodating customers and providing hotel, meal and taxi vouchers when appropriate.
- Ensuring FAA, Allegiant Air and airport regulations are followed.
- Assisting customers with special needs, such as boarding assistance.
- Loading and unloading baggage and co‑mail of varying weight and dimensions to and from aircraft and airport areas.
- Marshalling planes and pushing back aircraft.
- Operating heavy, motorized machinery and equipment.
- Leading by example and motivating team members.
- Coordinating, providing training and ensuring training requirements are met for all employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requires standing, sitting, talking, hearing, seeing, reaching, stooping and using hands and fingers to operate computer, keyboard, printer and phone. May require lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying up to 20 lbs. Must work various shifts in a 24‑hour situation. Must attend regularly and be exposed to moderate noise, temperature and light fluctuations. Must work in confined areas and sit at a computer terminal for extended periods.
