Airport Operations Supervisor-Facilities and Maintenance
Reporting to the Assistant Airport Director, the Airport Operations Supervisor-Facilities and Maintenance is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation, maintenance, and preservation of all airport facilities and building systems. The position provides direct supervision of airport maintenance and custodial personnel while overseeing preventative maintenance programs, building repairs, contractor coordination, custodial services, facility-related capital improvement projects, and related terminal operational needs.
The Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor ensures airport facilities are maintained in a safe, clean, functional, and customer-focused manner while supporting compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), OSHA, environmental, and County policies and procedures.

Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m.
-3:30 p.m. Overtime for snow operations and facility issue is required for this position which will include weekends, holidays and nights as required. There is a full comprehensive benefits package including being a part of the Wisconsin retirement system.

Key ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Organizes, supervises, schedules, and evaluates maintenance and custodial staff responsible for airport buildings, terminal facilities, support facilities, and landside infrastructure.
- Develops and administers comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for airport buildings, mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, elevators, generators, baggage systems, and other facility assets.
- Oversees custodial operations including work assignments, quality inspections, inventory management, equipment maintenance, and contractor performance to ensure clean, safe, and welcoming facilities.
- Oversees terminal facility operations, including facility utilization, facility systems coordination, and coordination of building-related operational needs.
- Coordinates building maintenance activities, repairs, renovations, and minor construction projects while minimizing impacts to airport operations and passengers.
- Supervises maintenance of terminal facilities, administrative offices, airport-owned buildings, parking facilities, sidewalks, roadways, utilities, and associated infrastructure.
- Coordinates and monitors the work of contractors, vendors, consultants, and service providers performing facility maintenance, repairs, inspections, and capital improvement projects.
- Utilizes the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and work order systems to prioritize work orders, manage preventative maintenance schedules, maintain asset records, and improve accountability and operational efficiency.
- Assists in the planning, development, and administration of facility maintenance budgets, capital replacement planning, procurement activities, and long-term asset management initiatives.
- Conducts routine inspections of airport facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, regulatory deficiencies, and opportunities for operational improvements.
- Oversees maintenance of life safety systems including fire alarms, emergency generators, emergency lighting, building security systems, and associated regulatory inspections.
- Coordinates facility support during snow removal operations, emergency events, utility outages, and other operational incidents requiring maintenance response.
- Coordinates and investigates responses to guest feedback, facility concerns, and operational issues related to airport facilities.
- Serves as an airport point of contact for airline, tenant, and facility-related operational issues and coordinates communication regarding service concerns.
- Supports airport and airline operational technology systems, including Common Use Passenger Processing Systems (CUPPS), as they relate to facility and terminal operations.
- Participates in employee hiring, training, coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Provides backup support for airfield operations, including inspections, snow removal, construction coordination, emergency response, and other airfield activities when assigned or operationally needed.
