About this role

Boston Scientific, Arden Hills campus consists of nearly 1.5M square feet of building space requiring maintenance and controls within various manufacturing areas. The Facilities Maintenance team ensures plant operation, function, and repair of facilities systems and acts as a service to all site employees while sustaining a safe, efficient, and comfortable workplace. This role serves as a building engineer with a heavy focus on controlled environment operations and controls.

Monday to Friday 7 AM – 3:30 PM. Requires on‑call 24/7 responsibilities, approximately one week per month.

• Perform routine maintenance of plant and/or office infrastructure (HVAC & process systems) using hand or power tools.
• Test, inspect, troubleshoot, repair facility infrastructure and equipment and report problems to supervisor.
• Navigate a building management system (BMS), modify controls, and support low‑voltage wiring.
• Work with outside contractors on facilities and equipment repairs.
• Manage maintenance programs, processes, or work instructions to create efficient workflow.
• Support 24/7 on‑call rotation and respond to infrastructure or system trouble alarms to troubleshoot and implement immediate adjustments or repairs.
• Perform routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
• Monitor and control environmental parameters for a variety of manufacturing room conditions utilizing a state‑of‑the‑art building management control system.
• Support the execution of infrastructure installation to ensure system functionality and commissioning meet the highest level of execution.
• Perform work in multiple maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, sheet‑metal fabrication, and welding for construction, repair, or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures.
• Perform plant and/or office facilities maintenance duties such as fixing flooring, walls, ceilings, lights, doors, etc.
• Maintain mechanical and electrical areas in an organized and clean manner, including support in exterior facilities clean‑up.

• 3 years of experience with an associate degree or equivalent combination of education/work experience.
• Requires Special Class Boilers License or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Must have Building Management System experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Digital Equipment PMs, and Building Management Systems.
• Bring diverse mechanical knowledge, experience, and skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• 5 years of experience (general maintenance/engineering).
• Advanced HVAC, Boiler, or Chiller training/certifications.
• Customer service and work‑order experience.
• Experience doing facility maintenance work for a manufacturing site.

Minimum Salary: $55,432

Maximum Salary: $94,224

Variable compensation for hourly roles may include overtime, shift differential, and annual bonus target. Exempt roles may also include annual bonus target and long‑term incentives, subject to plan eligibility and other requirements.

The compensation listed above and the core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) will vary based on the actual location of the position. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other relevant factors.
