Job Overview

Join Bell Partners as a Maintenance Manager. The role is responsible for overseeing interior and exterior maintenance, repairs, and groundskeeping to ensure the community’s safety, appearance, and resident satisfaction.

What you’ll do
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise all maintenance associates; conduct performance appraisals
  • Provide feedback and guidance in partnership with the Community Manager
  • Ensure the community and grounds are in good repair and provide a safe and attractive environment for residents
  • Inspect the community and grounds regularly, identify repair needs, and coordinate with vendors for lawn and grounds services
  • Maintain the Community Compliance Manual according to specifications
  • Respond to all repair requests and maintenance concerns from residents and staff
  • Prepare apartments for new residents and ensure proper removal and disposal of trash
  • Store maintenance items safely to prevent injuries
  • Maintain availability to residents, management, and staff on a predictable basis
  • Attend required meetings and training programs
  • Follow all safety/OSHA requirements and maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
What you bring to our team
  • High school degree or equivalent (required)
  • 2–5 years of previous maintenance experience, preferably multi‑family housing
  • Personnel supervisory experience (preferred)
  • EPA 608 Type I and Type II certifications, plus a current Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification (required)
  • Ability to repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, and mechanical systems
  • Proficiency in computer skills (e.g., Ops Technology, e‑mail)
  • Availability to work days, evenings, weekdays, and weekends
  • Commitment to Bell Core Values and exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly, both orally and in writing
Physical requirements of the job
  • Walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and lifting up to 80 lbs.
  • Work with mechanical and electrical equipment, including hazardous materials
  • Comfortable with heights and moving heavy objects
