* ** Where You Will Work**  

Located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191, Morenci operations (an open-pit copper mining complex) has been in continuous operation since 1939. The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode.

** Description*
* Under direct supervision, manage the Maintenance shop tool room.  This includes, but is not limited to issuing/receiving tool room materials, ordering/managing vendor bin stock and other tool room materials, and coordinating with warehouse for core returns and part deliveries.

+ Manage the Maintenance tool room inventory

+ Assist customers with issuing and receiving tool room materials

+ Responsible for maintaining Work Orders and performing work area inspections and housekeeping

+ Work with vendors on bin stock supplies

+ Ensure small rotatable components are readily available

+ May operate equipment such as: forklifts, cranes, and small mobile equipment

+ Perform other duties as required

* ** Minimum Qualifications*
* + Ability to work and effectively communicate with others in a team environment

+ Demonstrate safety as a core value

+ Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude. The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety.

** Preferred*
* + High School diploma or GED

+ Basic computer knowledge including the use of Microsoft Office

+ Previous experience demonstrating inventory management aptitude

** Criteria/Conditions*
* + Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English

+ Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards

+ Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment

+ This is a Safety sensitive role

+ While performing duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear, see and work in confined spaces

+ Work is performed in a mining or industrial environment which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles

+ Occasionally may be asked required to life moderately heavy to heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the course of the workday
