Position Summary:

Supervises daily activities of EVS Floor Technicians to ensure maintenance, cleaning, and sanitary floor care is occurring throughout all GRHC campuses. Maintains a schedule of Floor Technicians to ensure service needs are being met and that there is a consistent presence in maintaining high traffic areas (waiting areas, public restrooms, exam rooms, etc.) in accordance with established standards and requirements. As operational needs dictate, may also supervise other EVS areas and functions, including, but not limited to, infection control, inspections, scheduling to ensure the health facilities are sanitary.

Critical Tasks:

• Supervises/ manages in conjunction with other GRHC EVS leader, all GRHC floor technicians. This includes supervisory functions which may include but not limited to time keeping, performance review, disciplinary actions, scheduling, associate development, and other administrative duties.
• Focus on training, monitoring, and scheduling work for all Floor Technicians ensuring their work meets GRHC standards.
• Shares and trains Floor Technicians with his/her knowledge and experience with both routine and project floor care on a variety of flooring including, but not limed to, vinyl, ceramic, stone, laminate, and carpet.
• Review daily work orders to ensure completion and adherence with established work measures and quality standards and inform EVS Manager of concerns/issues.
• Performs routine and department inspections of completed work activities of floors completed and identified areas during the shift.
• Completes work order and project documentation.
• Follow up on complaints to ensure timely response and/or appropriate resolution to concerns/issues.
• Develop a cleaning schedule for all buildings within all GRHC campuses and modify schedules as needed to address special situations.
• Identifies quality products and training needed to further Floor Technician skills and knowledge.
• Obtains procurement of and monitors inventory levels of flooring supplies and equipment.
• Identifies and obtains replacement of equipment and/or supplies as needed.
• Knowledge of materials, methods and practices used to properly clean and maintain all types of flooring.
• Knowledge of the proper operation, use and care of wet and dry vacuum cleaners, mop wringers, brooms, mops, cleaning fluids and other cleaning materials
• Knowledge of proper safety precautions/procedures associated with using a variety of cleaning materials, supplies and equipment.
• Ability to operate a variety of cleaning equipment including vacuums, buffers, extractors and polishers.
• Understanding of inventory management practices and methods.
• Understanding of the principles, practices and methods of working independently.
• Ability to change priorities to accomplish tasks with frequent interruptions. Assists Security by responding to called hospital code situations including location of fires, assist transport and/or evacuate patients.
• Performs other job-related activities as requested.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1 year of experience in Environmental Services
• State of AZ Driver's License with no significant violations during the last 5 years.
• Demonstrates ability to relate to diverse cultures and specifically the Gila River Community and/or other Native American cultures and community health services.
