Our Lady of Grace Catholic Parish, Maricopa, AZ

Primary Function: Under the direction of the Pastor or other assigned manager is responsible for performing janitorial services and light maintenance in a parish, office and other facility. The Employee shall be a minister of the Gospel and Catholic Teaching behaviorally while at work and in his/her personal life, "Live in a manner worthy of the call you have received." (Eph.

4:1)

• Support the Church's spiritual and pastoral mission.
• Shall abide by Catholic principles in the employee's professional and private life and shall govern his/her professional and private life in strict accordance with Catholic morals and principles to demonstrate complete adherence to Catholic moral strictures.
• Adhere a cleaning schedule to ensure the Church or school is clean and maintained in an orderly fashion.
• Perform general custodial duties to include cleaning and light maintenance of the parish and office facilities.
• Assist grounds person on an "as needed" basis.
• Perform scheduled monthly, semi-annual, or annual janitorial duties, i.e., floor waxing, painting, window washing, carpet cleaning, etc. as directed and in accordance with the parish maintenance schedule.
• Provide set-up and cleaning of facilities for all activities as directed.
• Maintain a supply of cleaning supplies and equipment; properly account for materials and equipment.
• Maintain the security of buildings, equipment, and tools
• Comply with safety regulations as required; maintain a safe working environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requires coordination and manual dexterity; normal mental and visual ability; ability to lift as required in a normal maintenance environment.
