Parks & Facilities Maintenance Worker III

General Overview Of Position And Responsibilities
Performs advanced, skilled maintenance and repair work across City parks, facilities, public grounds, and cemetery areas. This position operates with a high degree of independence, serves as a technical resource to other maintenance staff, and may function as a lead worker on projects or during daily operations. The role supports complex maintenance activities, equipment operation, and coordination of work assignments under the direction of the Parks and Facilities Supervisor.

Works under the general guidance and direction of the Parks & Facilities Supervisor.

Education And Experience
- High school diploma or acceptable equivalent.
- Minimum three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in parks maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, landscaping, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience operating heavy or specialized maintenance equipment.
Certification(s) And License(s)
- Must possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the employer.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Work Environment And Conditions
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate clearly and must be able to hear and understand instructions, warnings, and safety signals. The position requires frequent physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion while performing groundskeeping, maintenance, and custodial tasks.
