Location: Palestine
School Janitor / Custodian
Starting Date: Aug 3, 2026
Job Description- Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces daily
- Empty trash and recycling; replace liners
- Clean windows, doors, and interior glass
- Set up rooms for meetings, events, and activities as needed
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks (changing bulbs, tightening fixtures, reporting repairs)
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment when needed
- Secure buildings by locking doors, turning off lights, and checking alarms
- Assist with snow/ice removal, grounds cleanup, and seasonal tasks
- Follow all district safety procedures, including chemical handling and equipment operation
- Report vandalism, safety hazards, or maintenance needs to the supervisor
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director or Principal
