Maintenance Technician – Ames, IA
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our operations running safely and efficiently by maintaining and troubleshooting production equipment, minimizing downtime, and driving continuous improvement. This hands‑on role partners closely with production teams to ensure reliable output, uphold safety and quality standards, and support overall plant performance.
Your key responsibilities- Perform and coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and ensure efficient plant operations.
- Maintain production equipment to meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO, cGMP).
- Collaborate with production teams and cross‑functional partners to support continuous, on‑time manufacturing output.
- Ensure a safe work environment by enforcing safety standards and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Plan, schedule, and document maintenance activities while coordinating with external vendors as needed.
- Support training and development of operators on basic maintenance tasks to enhance team capability and efficiency.

- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training and 3+ years of maintenance experience preferred.
- Execute preventative and corrective maintenance to keep equipment running reliably and reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to quickly restore production operations.
- Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all activities and identify and implement opportunities to improve equipment performance, safety, and efficiency.
- Coordinate with production and other teams to support efficient, on‑time output.
- Must be able and willing to work overtime as needed, including occasional weekend work and potential call‑ins during off‑hours.
Hourly wage: $25.00–$28.00. In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits.
